A story exploring the Chinese legal system follows a man who is determined to uncover the mystery behind his parents' deaths. Years later, Tang Ji Bai grows up to be a successful legal professor while Dong Fang Zhi has become an ace lawyer. Tang Ji Bai becomes embroiled in a case that lands him in prison. Even though he acts uncharacteristically towards her, Dong Fang Zhi is determined to help Ji Bai clear his name. Meanwhile, Ma Ze'an who is the young owner of Tian Jin Law Firm becomes attracted to Dong Fang Zhi and starts to boldly pursue her. With mysteries piling and a conspiracy to solve, Tang Ji Bai and Dong Fang Zhi find themselves occasionally at odds, yet their relationship only grows stronger over time.
